Porter Handleless in Matt White and Graphite
Mr & Mrs Hodgson's home is a quaint cottage located in the beautiful North Yorkshire town of Harrogate. The couple had just moved into the property when they came to us, so their aim with this renovation was to put their own stamp on the kitchen, and making it the a space they would love for years to come. In terms of design, the clients' main request was that the space be bright and modern. So, we opted for our contemporary Capita slab door with a handleless trim for a truly sleek look. A calming colour palette of Matt White and Dove Grey helps to make the room feel spacious and welcoming, whilst the contrasting Matt Graphite handleless trim is an eye-catching element that brings depth to the design. However, the real focal point of the space is the waterfall peninsular, using the delicate yet detailed White Venato Quartz worksurface, which is continued throughout the kitchen as a worktop and as a beautiful splashback; radiating light throughout the room. When it came to practicalities of the kitchen, it was important to Mr & Mrs Hodgson that no space was wasted in the compact room. We focused on utilising the space available, utilising full-height units and installing clever storage solutions, such as the Kesseböhmer Pull-Out unit and Tandem Larder for full and easy access to the darkest of corners. A full-size dishwasher, washer-dryer, full-height refrigerator and an undercounter freezer were also included in the design, integrated into units for a smooth, uncluttered look.
